Meet the Emergent Care Team
Dr. Braun, Emergent Care Veterinarian
Dr. Allison Braun earned both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Since graduating in 2013, she has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, individualized care for dogs and cats, with more than 13 years of experience in small animal medicine. She has a special interest in feline medicine and surgery and is passionate about making veterinary visits as stress-free as possible for both pets and their families.
Dr. Braun is a Certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian, Fear Free Certified Professional, and Low Stress Handling Certified. She also holds USDA Accreditation and has completed additional leadership training through the PVMA Power of 10 Leadership Program. Throughout her career, including serving as Chief of Staff at a busy small animal practice, she has enjoyed mentoring team members, improving standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative hospital culture.
Known for her thoughtful communication and thorough approach, Dr. Braun believes that educating pet owners is one of the most important parts of veterinary medicine. She enjoys partnering with families to ensure they understand their pet’s condition and treatment options so they can make informed decisions together. Her clients consistently praise her compassionate care, attention to detail, and the time she takes to answer questions and build lasting relationships.
At home, Dr. Braun is kept busy by her seven cats, who continually remind her why she chose this profession. Outside the hospital, she enjoys gardening, reading nonfiction, and is always eager to learn something new.
Emily, Emergent Care Technician
Originally a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a bachelors of fine arts, Emily went back to school at the Vet Tech Institute in 2017 to pursue her true passions in animal care. Since then she has worked in general practice and in urgent care settings, and has specific interests in surgery, laboratory testing, fear free handling, and end of life care. While we love all pets, Emily has a soft spot for our feline friends, and shares an apartment with her 2 cats, Ripley and Momo. As a certified veterinary technician, Emily is committed to upholding the highest standards of care, believing that animal advocacy, education, and a positive attitude are all necessary when it comes to delivering gold-star care. When she isn’t at work, you will likely find Emily working on the latest craft project, enjoying the great outdoors, or spending time with her friends and community.
